EvergreenのGravityから出てる7インチ以外の音源を入荷！ レーベル、品番なしというところからこれは自主リリースなのだろうか？ものによってはジャケットに直接色を塗っているものもあったりする。結構探してたけどとっくに廃盤だと思って諦めてた人もいるのでは？
意外にも疾走感のある曲もあるけど、これぞエモというサウンドに、独特のマイルドで牧歌的な歌声が印象的。3曲入り。

サンディエゴのGravityからは割と珍しい正統派なバンドEvergreenの単独音源。
とはいえ流石Gravity、一筋縄ではいかない。一瞬、針飛びかと思ってしまうようなところもある変拍子多用のリズム。
だけどそこに乗るのは美しい旋律を奏で、時にエモーショナルな轟音に変わるギターと、優しく祈るように歌うヴォーカル。大胆な曲展開だけど沁みる良曲を3曲収録。
Bats & Mice、Still Life、Juliaなどの「EMO」としか言いようのない音が好きな人はどうぞ。

メンバーのNick Frederickは後期Pitchforkのベースでもある。

ジャケットがいかにも90年代のEMOな感じなのがまず好印象。
実際、95-97年くらいにジョージア州アトランタで活動していたバンドです。
単独作はこの音源のみで、他にはfood not bombのコンピCD「Is The Human Heart So Selfish?」に1曲収録されています。
うねりのある激ドライヴィンサウンドはHoover、Sleepytime Trio、Max Colby、Behind Closed Door、Twenty Seven Hour、Guyver-One、Griverなどを感じさせる。
